NUANS (Newly Upgraded Automated Name Search) is a
computerized search system that, for the purposes of
Corporate Registry, compares a proposed corporate name
to a database of existing corporate names. This comparison
determines the similarity that exists between the proposed name
and existing names in the database that are already registered. If
the name proposed has not been taken, the NUANS report will
reserve the proposed name, for a period of 90 days, for the
person(s) requesting the report.
A NUANS report is part of your incorporation documents if you wish
to use a proposed name for your company. If you do not wish to
have a name for your company a numbered company can be used to
represent the legal entity. The assignment of this number is done at
the time of registration.
If you have any further questions you may contact Southland Registrations at (403) 255-3653.
